TX-Gov: Kay Bailey Pwns Rick Perry

Sorry couldn’t resist the little rhyme, but it was the catchiest thing I could come up with after learning of this latest poll from our friends at Public Policy Polling.

Sad thing is, Perry is actually getting favorable ratings from within the Republican base, with 60% of GOP primary voters giving him the thumbs up. That would probably be the case if Perry was matched up with anyone BUT Kay Bailey.

It would give me great satisfaction to see Rick Perry’s career ended. He runs one of the biggest states in America and yet he’s turning down the stimulus money that could go help thousands, if not millions, of unemployed Texans. Jackass.

  1. Unfortunately, Governor 39% wants everyone to think that Texas is doing great economically, due to being “business-friendly” and having a surplus, so it doesn’t need the money. Obvious posturing for 2012.

  2. Yes, he is a jackass who has bumbled his way through being governor of Texas (and think of how low that bar was set by the person who held the job before him!) — but don’t underestimate the power of the lunatic fringe in Texas, and they are going to be in his corner.

Best case scenario, of course = he somehow, some way holds on in the primary, but is so weakened his loses in November.

  3. of theocrat Don McLeroy, who pledges to gut biology education in schools and force science-based industries to look for greener pastures, including “business-unfriendly” California (horrors!) further reduces my chances of finding work here and will possibly force me to follow those industries to those greener pastures.

  4. if she does challenge Perry, and loses, she’s out of a job until a possible comeback in 2012 when her old senate seat will be up regardless of special elections.  Not sure she would try for a comeback though, especially if we take her seat and end 2010 with around 65 Democratic senators, that can’t look appealing.

  5. She’s never really impressed me when I’ve seen her on TV.  Is it just that “grandmotherly” quality see seems to have that people like?
